An artist who secretly decorated her neighbours' milk bottles with intricate etchings has opened her own exhibition in Sutton.
Charlotte Hughes-Martin would take empty milk bottles from outside people's doors and return them with pictures of animals, carefully engraved into the glass in delicate detail.
For months people across Stourbridge in the West Midlands where left puzzled and confused by the mystery artworks they found along with their normal milk delivery.
"I like to give people a surprise and make them do a double take when they step outside their front doors in the morning to pick up their pints of milk," said the 30-year-old artist.
But after she had been covertly returning the milk bottles for six months her cover was blown when the mystery art received national news coverage and a friend ratted her out.
Now Charlotte sells her creations for £125 each and has even been given her own exhibition at a gallery.
Her exhibition opened at the Artifex Gallery in Sutton Coldfield on Saturday and runs until until Sunday 7th December.
